Allergic dermatitis is caused by sensitivity to allergens in the environment, such as dust mites, pollen or mold spores. Diet can also affect the condition. Atopica for Cats affects the immune cells responsible for itchy allergic reactions to a variety of different substances and relieves itching and skin lesions. For use: Cats only Active ingredient(s): cyclosporine Cautions: Atopica for Cats is not for use in breeding, pregnant or lactating cats. Do not use in cats infected with feline leukemia virus (FeLV) or feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Many drugs can potentially interact with cyclosporine, including: acetazolamide, allopurinol, amlodipine, antibiotics, carvedilol, cimetidine, ciprofloxacin/enrofloxacin, corticosteroids, digoxin, erythromycin, gentamicin, ketoconazole, methotrexate, metoclopramide, metronidazole, omeprazole, phenobarbital, and phenytoin.
