Lactulose (Enulose) is a synthetic disaccharide in solution form for oral administration. Lactulose (Enulose) is a colonic acidifier which promotes laxation. Allow 24 - 48 hours for results. Caution(s): This medication does not have an FDA approved indication for use in animals, but it is a common and acceptable practice for veterinarians to prescribe this human medication for use in animals.
