Prescription items are NON-RETURNABLE and NON REFUNDABLE VETALOG (sterile triamcinolone acetonide suspension USP) Provides fast relief from pain, inflammation, and allergic signs in dogs and cats. Potent anti-inflammatory action. Reduces pain and improves motion within 24 hours. Reduces inflammation and swelling. Long-lasting treatment for allergic and dermatologic disorders. Eases discomfort and suppresses allergic signs usually within 24 hours. Alleviates inflammation and pruritus caused by dermatologic disorders, often within 1 to 3 days. One injection often sufficient to eliminate signs or lesions. Flexible administration. May be injected intramuscularly, subcutaneously, intra-articularly, intrasynovially, or intralesionally. Dosage: Intramuscular or subcutaneous The dose is a single injection of 0.05 mg to 0.1 mg triamcinolone acetonide per pound of body weight in inflammatory or allergic disorders and 0.1 mg per pound of body weight in dermatologic disorders. Intralesional The usual intralesional dosage is 1.2 mg to 1.8 mg triamcinolone acetonide. Injections should be circumscribed around the lesion in various sites to insure adequate distribution of the dose. Injections should be spaced 0.5 cm to 2.5 cm apart, depending on the size of the lesion. Intra-articular The dose for intra-articular or intrasynovial administration is dependent on the size of the joint to be treated and on the severity of symptoms. A single injection of 1 mg to 3 mg triamcinolone acetonide for cats and dogs is recommended. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: As with all corticosteroids, VETALOG should be used with care in all stages of pregnancy. The safety of most corticosteroid drugs for use during all stages of pregnancy has not been adequately established. Do not use with viral infections. 012BI-6X25
