This speeds up the rate at which the stomach empties into the intestines. Benefits: Metoclopramide is a gastrointestinal stimulant used in the treatment of nausea, vomiting, and reflux disease by normalizing stomach contractions enabling food and bile to pass. It can also be used post-surgery to treat nausea and vomiting and to control nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy. For use: Dogs & cats Active ingredient(s): metoclopramide Cautions: This medication does not have an FDA approved indication for use in animals, but it is a common and acceptable practice for veterinarians to prescribe this human medication for use in animals. Inform your veterinarian if your pet has kidney or liver disease, congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, or diabetes prior to beginning treatment.
