It effectively inhibits bacterial DNA replication for the treatment of skin and soft-tissue infections associated with bacteria susceptible to marbofloxacin. For use: Dogs and cats Active ingredient(s): marbofloxacin Cautions: This medication should not be administered to small and medium breed dogs less than 8 months of age and large breeds less than 12 months and giant breed dogs less than 18 months of age. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. The following drugs can potentially interact with marbofloxacin: antacids, sucralfate, theophylline, probenecid, aminoglycosides, third generation cephalosporins, extended-spectrum penicillin, clindamycin, nitrofurantoin and cyclosporine. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies.
