Your dog should be tested for heartworm prior to use. Item Specifications: Benefits: Interceptor Plus is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease and the treatment and control of roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms in dogs. For use: Dogs at least 6 weeks of age and weighing at least 2 lb. Active ingredient(s): Milbemycin oxime, praziquantel Cautions: Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. Treatment with fewer than 6 monthly doses after the last exposure to mosquitoes may not provide complete heartworm prevention. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. No interactions have been noted with this medication. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Allergic reactions to medications may occur.
